KENEDOUGOU (TSM IBA 010040)

TMS IBA 010040 is an improved star variety of the IITA range, with a high dry matter content (29%), a high starch level (71%) and a high yield (25 t/ha). It is early, with a pink rind and is (moderately) resistant to multiple diseases and cassava pests and in particular to African cassava mosaic virus (ACMV).

TMS IBA 010040, developed from the 58305 x Branca de Santa Caterina , is a variety whose stems grow up straight; it has a narrow violet-green leaf, and is average to short in height (<2 m), with a dark brown stalk; the tuber shows a white coloured flesh and it has a cream coloured skin. The tuber does not have a neck.

The inter-nodes are short (on average 2,4 cm) and the diameter of the stem is average.
