The TMS 30572 is an old improved variety, with a high dry matter content (34%), a high starch level (71%) and a high and stable yield (35 t/ha) and is moderately resistant to multiple diseases and cassava pests.

TMS 30572 was developed from the 58305 x Franca de Santa Caterina; the stems of this variety grow up straight and it has a narrow violet-green leaf, is average to short in height (<2 m), with a stem of dark brown; the tube has a white coloured flesh and/or a cream rind. The tuber has no neck.

The inter-nodes are short (on average 2,4 cm) and the diameter of the stem is average.
